By Road
MM Hills is accessible only by road. Many buses are operated by
temple [Muzrai Department, Karnataka Govt.], KSRTC [Karnataka State Road
Transport Corporation] and even a number of private buses.

Transportation facilities
from a number of places from Karnataka State as well as Tamil Nadu State
are there to Sri Male Mahadeshwara Hills and back.
There are
two paths from Karnataka & Tamil Nadu entrances - Taalabetta.
One the Snake's Route (Bus road) which is 19 kms. distance to the temple,
the other Bull's Route (Walk route) which is 8 kms. The Bull's Route
will be with the steps & in olden days when there were no buses
devotees were using this route. Even today devotees used to walk
& climb the hill in this path.
There is
a belief that the devotees coming to the hills should stop their vehicles
at the Taalabetta & put the "Dhoopa" to the Lord &
proceed. It is good to check the vehicle's break etc. at this spot
as the hair-pin curves ahead.
